Lion and lamb in clouds

I'm a qualified freelance writer. This is a balanced blog on the topic of a genuine Christian revival in the UK. I report from a number of sources, both Christian and non-Christian about the spiritual state of the nation. It also includes my own thoughts on the issue - (as I'm writing it) and the way in which it affects our day to day lives.

Research for the blog began in 2000 and I cover the major national and international news events, leading up to the time we live in today. All names have been either changed or shortened, to protect my sources, apart from quotes from well-known public figures.

The Christian community in the UK is made up of Protestant, Catholic and Orthodox believers. In researching this blog I visited all of these churches (and most of the Protestant sub-denominations). With many Christians here being Protestant in one form or the other, I focus mainly on this group. I also touch on the views of Muslims, Jewish people, Buddhists, atheists and agnostics concerning revival.

I do not write much about the excesses of contemporary revivalism as the whole purpose of the blog is to get to the truth of the issue and discuss what people think of genuine, historically proven, revivals.

At a time of revival, the greatest critics often come from within the church. For example, when the Wesleys were preaching in Birmingham, an established church deliberately rang out its bells in order to drown out their words to the people.

I don't want similar words to be drowned out this time.
